And then there's tendency to call one pair of them a "pant".

Oh, while I've been on the 'net since the late '90s, I never used Twitter, Facebook or, now, Bluesky for personal/individual conversations.

I know "dm" = Direct Message - but, is that what we're doing now?

Yeah, glad to met you. As I mentioned, I'm (chronically? 😉) introverted, so it's nice to talk to some folks. Reading (and even avoiding) the News, I think: "I've got to do something..." and then driving home from a demo:
"...I'm not sure that's it. But it is 'something' ..."
