However, I didn’t start using stimulant meds until grad school. Non stimulants worked pretty well until then.

It is a bit more extreme than someone without ADHD, like we’re hypersensitive to criticism and rejection, and that causes some issues. I certainly have to talk myself through separating criticism and my inherent character/ who I am and whether I’m a good person all the time.

Because most people know a kid or adult with adhd, but they don’t hear often about kids that need antipsychotics. It definitely happens though

Adderall works differently in people that really need it for ADHD. It didn’t give me any sort of burst of energy until I had to start taking a really high dose for my narcolepsy. It just kind of quiets things down in my head and makes it so I can follow some of my thoughts to their end.

Oh yeah. This is why I unsubscribed from notifications from almost all news sources except Al Jazeera, and I think the BBC. For my undergrad degree in poli sci they expected us to have all notifs on.

It has so much potential just bubbling at the surface. What people don’t understand is it’s not new technology, it’s just novel that we’re able to give it as a vaccine since there’s a way to stabilize it for distribution now. So yes, it is miraculous, but it’s not scary and not new.

It tells me further that rapists are rarely brought to justice, and every person that does come forward is my hero. No matter how long it’s been. Because it’s one of the hardest things I ever did.
