Have to say I'm surprised how not-terrible this CNN article is, when most mainstream reporting nowadays is just regurgitation of talking points from terrible people and saying the reporting is "balanced" because they included a quick "critics say this is wrong" blurb.

I'm going to Sydney for the show, but this will be nice for the US shows. I went to the other theater showings, and they were great.

This was the first thing that came to mind when we heard they had access to data early on. And just think what you can know when you combine this with other sources like IRS, Treasury, OPM...

The vast majority of people this would potentially impact are taking the standard deduction anyway, this only makes a difference to people who already have a "complex" tax situation.

Low hanging fruit. They go with what has worked in the past, a reliable return on investment. No need to take a risk on something new and unproven. Capitalism is the ruiner of art. And everything else, too.
