I’ve told everyone I know to not get me anything for Christmas. I have clothes, food, my 20 year old still running car, my bird feeders, a phone.. I’m good.

This is the latest squirrel that I’ve gotten to take pecans from my hand. I’ve named him Peapod after Bob Ross’ favourite squirrel. He’s the absolute best; he’ll actually reach up with both paws sometimes and gently scoop the pecan from my fingers. An absolute sweetheart ❤️

Everytime the squirrel mating season starts (which is twice a year-3 to 4 months total), my sweet Orejas disappears. Can’t wait to see you again after these boys stop harrassing you😞

My birds are starting to come back!! Because 2025 was a mast year for trees and shrubs, there’s been an abundance of natural food for birds for the past 2 months. Today was the first time in over 2 months that I’ve seen my Bluebirds. Oh my lil heart🥹❤️
