i think this infographic captures that aspect of genocide more accurately, and here i would say that we're currently between stages five and six. you can say this is the middle,, but its important to note that the bulk of violence/direct repression has yet to occur

keep in mind that all of these laws went into effect in 1933, two years before the nuremberg laws that the infographic references in stage 3 did. i think this is currently what the right is primarily working on rn -- seriously limiting the public spaces in which trans ppl are allowed to exist

i mean, i want to point out this part of the infographic,, that the stages dont necessarily occur linearly and in this specific order,, but i would say roughly we're seeing the cusp of stage 3 right now (major rights being curtailed)

this means withholding federal funding from any k-12 school unless it forcibly outs transgender students to their parents and refuses to use their preferred name/pronouns. trans kids will die from this
