Always exciting to see my designs actually in print -- proud to work with Marc Sapir, author of I'll Fly Away to place this advertisement with The Nation :) His book is a collection of moving portraits that humanize the elderly and disabled. A poignant read for the sandwich generation.

I'm working with an author who made this - complete with a tiny copy of her book... a great example of using trends to market a book :)

@mattzollerseitz.bsky.social hits this review of NOSFERATU out of the park. It felt like the evil could attach to you just by watching. A technical masterpiece: settings, costumes, lighting, soft focus - unreal and several breath-catchingly beautiful scenes.

Was just reading this to my husband so sharing the photos here of the demands so you can read them too. Nothing here that is over the top or not the bare minimum of safe/respectful workplace.

Your brain on books - theconversation.com/people-who-a...

Argues not only does reading fundamentally shape our brains for the better but that reading is a “service to humanity” ❤️

So … I guess the only thing left to say is “you’re welcome, world.”

I moved and reorganized my office space to another area of my home. My space is now filled with books and plants! Happy to have a nice space to display things I’ve read or am proud to have worked on in my lifetime. L The Unfeathered Bird by Katrina VanGrouw is one of my fave projects of all time.

And on Google trends - overall interest in the term “bullshit” is down since 2004, but interest in “bullshit book” is pretty steady ;)

And the 1988 book “Bullshit! : the media as power brokers in presidential elections” by Jeff Gale seems to be next in line (I’m skipping a few that look like reports not bookstore books) www.amazon.com/Bullshit-Med...

Most excitingly this lead me to the library of congress to see what the first book with bullshit in its title was published. 1971! 1971’s Bullshit and Jellybeans seems to be the earliest book in their system. books.google.com/books/about/... notably a “New Zealand” classic, so thank you NZ!

Theory - everyone has one plate, bowl, mug, utensil that is their “favorite” to use.

Here’s my go-to bowl. Purchased at a farmers market in Vermont while visiting my best friend :)

delighted to see @birchlse on the @voxdotcom Future Perfect 50 today :) Congrats Jonathan!

Happy to have a cold November rainy day today. It’s been more than 6 weeks since our last accumulating rain. Would prefer a real drenching but will take this. :)
