This whole conversation is blowing my mind (parent of a 12yo in Australia). I had no idea that parents in the US actually want their kids to use their phones during school time! It must be an absolute nightmare for teachers (and the kids who want to learn)

Comics especially is so mentally taxing — I found that making with my hands (weaving, ceramics etc) made me feel amazing. Recently I started a junk journal and I’m doing a bit of collage in there — nothing fancy, just sticking stuff down in a pleasing way — and it’s making me so happy

This is an awful feeling 😓 When I’m burned out like this it really helps me to turn to another medium. Not to fix myself and get back to The Real Art but because making things is important to my mental health
