It's ridiculous that so many household/personal products "monitor" and send your data over the network. You just demonstrated that it would be less fun if your washing machine just texts you when it's done!! 😆

Off topic but noticed that you were using an electric toothbrush - do you have a view on the so-called smart toothbrushes that offer network connectivity and monitor your brushing? I almost had a nervous breakdown when buying a new toothbrush, all I wanted was, a toothbrush! The options were insane.

It's bizarre that the Waitress gave me the option of paying through her instead of using an app. So why the app? The Waitress is already serving, I am paying for the service charge.. I guess it is for those who don't want to wait and just want to pay quickly (with extra) and leave.

The same customer service person also asked if the first letter of my email address is in upper or lower case. Trivial innocent question but it made me think about naming and digital identities again...
