We do actually - we wipe his paws with baby wipes or those special dog wipes (or soap and water if it’s really gross out). It’s not perfect, but I think it helps.

Are there any funds set up to help these men with medical expenses and therapy? The article says many can’t afford to see a doctor.

I want to hear Dorothy Parker on this.

What an antisemitic grifter. Fucking hell.

Personally, I voted yes, because there are so many people with difficult work schedules and childcare and mobility issues for whom getting to the polls can be tricky. Of course there is mail in, but people don’t make use of that enough for whatever reason.

I think the big reason we got Adams is because it was the first year of ranked choice for the primaries and people didn’t really understand it.

But I do think prop six is one of those things I wish we saw more of on the ballot: two options with pros and cons and neither one is evil.

Tolkien would fucking hate this.

It’s way more convenient for me to vote tomorrow but because of that sticker I guess I have to try to get there today.

It’s a spooky season pigeon! 🩵

Thanks for the reminder. Done and done.

Holy fucking shit.

Seriously. Almost every mom I know is terrified of guns in schools, vaccine preventable illnesses making a comeback, and the global warming destroying the future for their children. They are sleep deprived, used to dealing with tantrums, entirely out of fucks, and ready to throw down.

As a Jew myself, I find it offensive that Bari Weiss isn’t allowed to be unqualified because she is Jewish. I’m unqualified for lots of things! Lots of Jews are unqualified for certain jobs! Let us contain unqualified multitudes!

At some point in the aughts, a NYC real estate guy told a friend of mine that laughing at Trump was basically a bonding experience for NYC real estate people. He was so comically inept that these disgustingly rich NY developers would get business drunk and dunk on him at events he wasn’t invited to.

And I think this sermon gives voice to that, acknowledges that the past two years have made many of us reassess a lot of what we were taught and go through a painful unlearning process. It’s brave, and also I think what a lot of Jews need to hear from our rabbis right now.

Thank you for this.

Attending services this year felt like trying on an old pair of shoes from the back of my closet and wanting them to fit comfortably but finding they gave me blisters after walking just a block. Too much is different now, and I am too changed.

I mean, I didn’t think that Trump, a fellow despised former NYC figure could win the presidency twice, so I guess it’s possible, but holy crap does this make it clear he doesn’t have his finger on the pulse anymore (if he ever even did).
