Also I developed a set of rituals for when rejections of various scales come in so that at least I know I get some treats and how I will handle the horrible horrible rejection feelings. It truly sucks but structures and nice things can help!

I once saw a fiction writer say that their job was to collect rejections, because that’s the sign that you’re sending stuff out, which is the part of the process that you can control. That really stuck with me and helped me move through this exact paralysis!
