Yesterday I had what I think might be my top career highlight thus far: granting the wish of kerning as The Fairy Fontmother as a part of a musical theater number in a costume I helped design in front of a massive crowd.

So happy we found each other 16 years ago. You converted many a non-cat-person with your dog-like ways. You’ve been there through every big life change. So glad you got to spend your last years snuggling in our cozy home surrounded by love. You’ll always be baby #1.

My 9yo made this a month ago and I’ve never felt so aligned to her:
- spend a lot of time making an elaborate illustrated list
- abandon the drawing when almost done
- don’t actually do anything on list
- yet to come: panic last minute and somehow get it done in the 11th hour
