Authors wrote "policy briefs" and other similarly formatted pieces that included topics like cognitive changes in midlife and through aging, protecting people with brain-computer interfaces, and how to address the intersection of mental illness and housing instability.

Policy writing is a way research can be used to improve lives -- it's impossible for any person to be an expert (& lawmakers are rarely trained as scientists). But scientific experts can share their data-driven ideas w folks writing bills & provide context for why something might work well (or not)
