Fuck you, General Mills, we don't need this bullshit right now.

Three boxes all labeled as the same size but they're three different sizes and the smallest is around 60% the largest

Can you tell what happened last time I made this recipe?

Went out to Durham Pride Parade today with 13yo (her first!) and had a great time. As always, my Still Bisexual After All These Years shirt got me lots of compliments.

So many excellent Redford watches to recommend but I have to throw out one of my favorite movies of all time, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which has both Redford and Newman (and Katharine Ross!) being charismatic as hell in a fantastic script full of perfect one liners by William Goldman.

Very clear dividing line between mine this week in all kinds of ways. #lastfourwatched

So it used to be if you had money you had the freedom to spend all your time learning how to do the things you love. Now if you have money you can buy the things you love without spending any time on it. Why learn? Why be better when you can just buy it?

My embroidery project instructions came in Japanese. The Google translate on my phone camera is very impressive! Except for this one part lol

I get a little grouchy about joke reviews on @letterboxd.social but I just scrolled through the reviews for the new Ozon film and they're all joke reviews. BUT they're all in French so I adore them.

My theory is correct! Big ass nest inside the roof!

Also thought of @neolithicsheep.bsky.social when I saw this sheep drawn carriage.

My first time seeing The Dinner Party at the Brooklyn Museum today and it was very clearly a Tag Yourself situation.

If we were still changing our profile pictures all the time I would absolutely make this mine.

Teenager and I were baffled by this piece of college mail that kept going on and on about men and manliness. Eventually we realized it's an all male school.

I really need to know what was going on in the 20th century. I'm watching the Mary Tyler Moore show. This is Ed Asner in the first episode. Aired a couple months before his 41st birthday. FORTY YEARS OLD. What was it? Smoking? Pollution?

@theassemblync.bsky.social shared this in the subscriber newsletter today as a detail that didn't make the cut in their new story but I think we need a full investigative piece on how Belichick requested his 24 year old girlfriend be cc'd on all emails from UNC.

Very grateful to whoever is responsible for this excerpt from the school district email. It's straightforward and to the point. It doesn't have a call to action, but given our ongoing budget struggles, the subtext is clear.

The birds are back at the nest on my porch. The male likes to look in the window and watch me while the female is getting everything in order

A perfectly brutal evisceration of one of the people I loathe most by one of our best.
This sentence cracked me wide open, will never think about people coming after trans kids the same way again.

The author of DECAGON HOUSE MURDERS, one of my favorite Japanese mysteries, has a new book coming to the US this spring: THE LABYRINTH HOUSE MURDERS. The map at the front has a very "hold my beer" vibe. 💙📚

Two selfies and two weeks later I had popped. (I can't remember where that bathroom was but this mirror I remember as being the food court at Boston children's hospital? I worked at the hospital next door at the time and would run over for McDonald's soft serve, a pregnancy craving.)
