This is beyond egregious. I’m honestly so horrified by the lack of empathy and his ability to consistently refuse to take any responsibility for anything.

without what I think of as an ending that made wading through it worth it, was insanely overwhelming.

I’ve always said I love books that rip my guts out… but I need to have them put back together somehow.

I’m not sure this book did that. The ending is fitting for sure… but so deeply unsatisfying.

Yes! That was my first Kristin Hannah book. Funny we drive that way a lot from CO to Oklahoma, where I grew up. It was surreal driving along the highway and through many of the towns mentioned in the book.
