I love seeing her in my dreams, really. But it’s nothing like the time she visited. I hate that she’s so often sick in my dreams. When she visited, she was healthy, her old self.

When I walked into her room, her eyes opened wide to look at me (the same way she looked at me before I left her for the last time) and things get fuzzy from there.

The fan was on (it was always on and always squeaked and that sound is imprinted on my soul now) and the lights were low. There were some Christmas lights on top of the TV and it was so comfortable.
