Oh I do see the purpose and appreciate them. It's just extra funny when the only thing on the ballot is a school district millage. I just can't imagine very many people are out here making *this* the very first ballot they ever cast! Though there are probably some frequent voters who have moved.

I think any time any of us denounce McW we should always begin with "as a linguist." My dude, you being a kinda linguist has absolutely no bearing on what you're saying and if you *were* a better linguist, you'd know when not to evoke certain kinds of epistemic stances...

If a student tells me there's a grade mistake and I agree, I tell them not to worry and I'll fix it on Wednesday. If somebody hands me a scheduling poll, I tell them I'll complete it on Wednesday. Then I send it to myself and it's gone until Wednesday.
The next step is to not be my own assistant.
