I don't think it's the right way to handle this particular controversy but I think you're off as a matter of principle. States step in to regulate medical treatments all the time. Plaintiffs made a really weak sex-discrimination argument in Skrmetti that made no sense and was never gonna work.

We have no idea if they are minority cases because American youth gender clinics either haven't kept data or haven't published the data they've kept. This is true of the famous 2023 NEJM study and that same team's initial decision to withhold puberty blocker data. It's chronic.

Yeah, this one I wrote about the leading youth gender doctor in the country was pretty bad.

I mean I'm very sympathetic to people who seek to transition because they have gender dysphoria. It's not something I could ever fully understand but it seems horrifying. I think when you're talking about minors, including kikds as young as 13 sometimes getting *surgery*, this is very fraught.

Five minutes ago you tweeted angrily about something that didn't happen! You didn't lie -- you just didn't check.

I think one part of the problem is people make up rumors about the story, and then other people, like you, get mad at the rumors before having read it. That overwhelming majority of the social media criticism I've gotten does not appear pegged to the real content of the actual article.

I don't know what to say. I don't know how to sugar-coat it. For a 22-year-old to sign a release to be photographed for a story about youth gender issues, and to then claim they were 'outed' when that photo was used... I can't wrap my mind around it. I think it's a prima facie ridiculous complaint.

I mean I just don't think you've read the article? If you had you'd probably have a better grasp on who the subjects were.
October 3, 2025 at 8:30 PM
No worries if you need a bit of time to read the article you're so furious about
October 3, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Sorry I just think you're a little fuzzy on what you're even mad about. You think I interviewed the cover model?
October 3, 2025 at 8:27 PM
Who did I interview who is unhappy about it?

how much do they pay you to forget about your conscience? Try answering this one honestly Jesse: have you ever accepted money from the republican party or the heritage foundation?

I did not misgender and out a trans person. The "medical information" was exactly two lines of patient notes not connected to an identifiable individual. I'm sorry are worked up about internet rumors

I think that because of the dynamics of online rumors, there's a chance you are really mad without understanding exactly what you are mad about
