I watch movies, eat junk food, and I know things.
It’s utterly self-centered for a CRITIC, whose entire role is to judge others’ work, to shield their *own* from scrutiny. That’s peak megalomania!
Like, you make a career nitpicking others, but your own ego’s off-limits? 🤣

Makes the most sense, really. M:I is more espionage thriller whereas M:I-2 is more action thriller.

I’m actually rewatching part 2 at this very moment. It’s been DECADES.

Loved it. Totally get why it’s a comfort movie for you. It’s got such a smooth, laid-back vibe but still keeps you locked in.

Bummer that Demonic was a letdown! Honestly, hadn’t even heard of it until your post. 😅

On a brighter note, I’m finally watching The Score (2001) — De Niro, Norton & Brando together has me hyped! 🎬😃

Always down for a good double feature — if you’ve got any gems you’d recommend after, I’m all ears!

Right? That’s one of the things I love most about her posts too. I’m *always* rambling about movie scores — especially from the bygone eras — so it’s really cool seeing someone else who’s just as passionate and into it!

That’s a beautifully curated KL collection! :)

I think this is the most color I’ve seen from one of your photos haha.

For sure! *Literally* just said the exact same thing to a friend on here! Haha

Any time a movie treats the soundtrack like a headliner, it INSTANTLY elevates the whole thing, IMO.

YesSs! I’m stoked! The visuals look SO clean — I love how the tone of this one is all red, compared to TRON: LEGACY’s cool blue vibe.

Also — is it just me, or do movies that really lean into promoting their soundtrack always end up hitting harder and making the whole thing feel infinitely better?!

Ah, well… hit send, refreshed, BAM — there it is! 😆

Oh man, honestly — anytime you posted a film score on Twitter, it pretty much always made me wanna (re)watch whatever it was. Your enthusiasm for that stuff just rubbed off on me — especially since our tastes line up so much.

(One of the things I actually missed most about ya! Haha)

@turkishmeatchugger.bsky.social You peep this yet? Feel like I vaguely remember you posting about it back on Twitter / 𝕏?

Honestly kinda surprised by how great this looks — WAY more hyped than I expected to be!

I've been meaning to check this out for such a long time! Your post was the perfect reminder, and you really won me over by including that remarkable score! Can't wait to dive in! Thanks!

Soderbergh seems to be one of the rare directors who only gets better with age.

I need to give this a proper rewatch someday. Kept checking my phone every 15-20 minutes—usually a sign of boredom—but I've done the same with plenty of movies I love now.

One of Friedkin's movies I have *eternally* wanted to see but have been incapable of tracking down.

Guess that’s a no…
