I'm worried about the news. Audience fragmentation, ignorance of how propaganda works, and a public appetite for unverified information is *bad*
Texas native. Pittsburgh PA resident. Legal aid worker. Formerly: labor union PR lady, newspaper reporter.
This is what journalistic malpractice looks like.

NYT can't ID the real story even when it's in the story.

Vance's "visit" is timed to influence Greenland's election.

This looks correct 👇

One big reason Axios blows. Their context isn't good.
As Axios bullet-points its way to journalism, they throw in Dem's Trump impeachment reminder for good measure when writing about GOP retaliation using impeachments on the judiciary that doesn't bow to Trump.

Working from home is banned for all federal employees, but apparently not for Trump and Musk.
Trump is signing executive orders from Mar-a-Lago today.
February 18, 2025 at 10:10 PM
I noticed that too and posted about it, comparing that NYT article today with another dullard NYT piece two weeks ago. Here:

Hey everybody, Trump is wrecking the place. I had no idea!
Thanks, NYT, for telling us this today, only nine years since Trumpism ignited the domestic cold war.
Two weeks ago you had the same clueless discussion.
February 15, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Two weeks later, the NYT is still stating the obvious.

Traditional media isn't going to save us.
February 15, 2025 at 7:09 PM
We are almost one month into Trump's democratic demolition project and the country's newspaper of record comes up with this obvious-to-everyone take?
February 15, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Here they are, asking us for more money 😡
This is in my emails today. The DNC is still tone deaf. We don't want robotic campaign fundraising emails. We want clear leadership with a plan, which should have emerged by now.
February 3, 2025 at 6:42 PM
This pissed me off all over again. A fundraising email today. This. This is how they are calling us to action. Give $5. Again? After a $1 billion campaign they blew? I am ignoring all DNC fundraising emails.
February 3, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Yeah. Instead I got this in my email today. To fight Trump, DNC needs $5. Cut the fundraising stuff for once, DNC. Start kicking ass for real.
February 3, 2025 at 5:41 PM
This is why the MSM has no credibility.
Exhibit #9,377
February 3, 2025 at 5:38 PM
This DNC email hit me wrong. It's got the tone of presidential fundraising campaign emails we all hated. Dems can't read the room. I don't want donation asks every time there is a call to fight Trump. You had $1 billion. You need $5 from me. Again?

And this clever maneuver: Canada is specifically sticking it to red states on some goods. Putting pressure on the GOP where it directly matters.

This is what resistance looks like. It's happening! ❤️ 🇨🇦

From NYT:
February 2, 2025 at 3:07 AM
Yes we are. Here's more to add to that. Pentagon today is kicking out NYT, NBC, Politico, and NPR reporters from their long-held Pentagon offices and replacing them with OANN, Breitbart, NY Post. The other outlets still have access, but lose their on-site office to RW media.

This is why I stay on twitter -- watching MAGA get roasted. This lady was ratioed to hell. Her response to the OP is ridiculous. She's in deep.
January 30, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Oh that's cute. The years-long work by the lawyer who tried to save democracy from Trump gets relegated to "takeaway" coverage in the country's two biggest national newspapers. They are deliberately doing bad journalism in service to oligarchs.
January 14, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Nothing like spending years of your professional life trying to seek truth and save American democracy only for the shitty Washington Post to reduce your important work to "6 takeaways."
January 14, 2025 at 9:51 PM
Clarification needed for this headline.
"Hollywood" can mean two things: the film industry generally, and Hollywood the LA neighborhood.
I used to live in LA and this hed made me think the fire was in the Hollywood section of the city.
