Yesterday was a beautiful opening day at the Maryland Renaissance Festival! Usually it’s so hot that I avoid the first weekend or two, but we couldn’t have asked for a better time. So nice to catch up with friends and do some shopping. ❤️

Also went to the Walters gallery today to see the “If Books Could Kill” exhibition on toxic materials used in the creation of illuminated manuscripts. 😍 Obsessed.

I finished my first big/new project and I’m really proud of this cropped corset. Made with the fancy tabletop grommet press my husband gave me for Christmas so grommets don’t destroy my hands.

First thing is this - cropped corset/bodice thingie for belly dance and maybe renaissance faire one day? It’s the first thing like this I’ve made and it’s almost done and coming along well! Big learning process but I’m super excited for it.
