As 2019 hatchlings, they're living up to their Golden Girls namesakes now. I've never forced them to lay through the winter by adding heat or light, and that's a big reason why they're still productive. To me, letting their bodies rest is part of being a good steward of their health and happiness.

Our first sign of spring! It's a soggy 38° today, and after their annual winter break, Dorothy, Rose, and Sophia gave us three eggs this morning.
