We live a few blocks blocks from where fire crews from all over, the national guard etc were set up for much of those weeks and the incarcerated firefighters were STILL locked up when off duty… granted it was minimum security (ok except the natl’ guard was right across the street) but - shameful

I thank them for their service (in multiple ways) ❤️

But, like… that doesn’t make sense. People don’t go to parties every day and lose income when they don’t.

One of the craziest things is that the Tubbs fire managed to burn a trailer park, a working/ middle class neighborhood, and the rich stuff up in the hills across the freeway. I have a fear that’s what’s happening in LA now. Ira devastating.

It also didn’t used to be this way! Until the late 2010s there were a few big wildfires in my lifespan but NOTHING like the regularity and severe devastation we have now.

We here in Santa Rosa (of the Tubbs fire in 2017) definitely feel your pain. Except it’s somehow even crazier it’s happening in such a vast metro as LA. I’m so sorry for what everyone’s going through.
