I think language tests are often tests of test-taking ability rather than the actual language. I had a friend who took the IELTS something like 13 times before she got a score that qualified her to attend university which was bananas. I lived with her - she absolutely had enough English for that

I started learning Japanese this year at 50. I fully plan to join a singing group as soon as I get to that level of health, which looks like it might not be super far away.
One of the joys of getting older is that I am WAY better at being bad at things without my perfectionism getting in the way💚

I didn't know what this was so I googled it and was astonished to find it consists only of ingredients I can actually eat, which is vanishingly rare. Cooked it a few days ago and definitely will be doing so again - THANK YOU OMG THIS IS AWESOME!!! 💚💚💚

This is so true. I get my disability support workers to make veggie stock for me because there are zero commercial stocks that are edible and cooking without stock sucks, and even though we have the process down to a very fine art and I don't even do it myself it still sucks and is a pain!

My GP said they were using one of these the last time I went. I don't trust it at ALL but I was afraid that if I said "no" that the GP would be unhappy

The survey has been around a while now, I wonder if these are people who are primarily coming back over and over? Because it tails off pretty fast as the ages increase … can you test that easily with the data you have?
