I joined Threads when that launched, to get away from Xitter. It was, and is perfectly fine, but it feels more insular than BlueSky. This place really does feel like a reset for the Twitter style. We just need more of the big accounts to migrate here and then Space Karen can keep his site.

It really is so much nicer here. That other place is just so feral now. It's like a relief coming here from there. As if that place got you so on edge expecting so many trolls. It's almost like PTSD not having to be on such high guard here, because you expect it. Thanks BlueSky.

Happy New Year, Ya'll! I hope 2024 is a fantastic year. In my case, it has to be. I lost my Mum in 2023, and she was amazing. My biggest cheerleader. So 2024 has to be a winner. Can't get much worse. But life has a habit of showing us how much shittier things can get.
