The “Dad Truck” (so it’s been called) desperately needed a wash, despite the rainy forecast.

Kicked off my summer role as “Grill Daddy”.

After a productive day of getting the pool opened, vacuumed, and balancing the chemicals, putting in a new outlet for the patio and planting herbs, it was definitely time for a cocktail. Bring on summer!

The concept of a Blackstone Griddle is great, but maintenance is hell. Despite seasoning it and attempting to carefully store it for the winter, it was nothing but a sheet of rust when I took it out. Several hours of cleaning later and I’m almost ready to reseason and have it ready for use.

Here’s to “almost summer”!
