Sharing my collection, one record at a time.
25 years ago today, the first commercial release by Gorillaz was released. Now I own the 25th anniversary re-release of that EP contains the rare English version of Latin Simone (featured).

I don’t put this one on all that often, but I am glad to have it. Some real classics on here (even if they’re not in my go-to rotation).

I dig the journey this band took (Airplane, Starship, and beyond). This is an iconic album for a reason. So many all-time greats in one place.

Last summer, I picked up Metric’s album “Fantasies” because it was deeply discounted. I enjoyed what I heard so much, it kicked off an entire deep dive into the catalog I had missed (including a big order from the band’s website). I now own almost the entire catalog.

If you’re willing to take some risks, the bargain bin is full of treasures like this one.

Despite Suikoden II being one of my favorite JRPGs, I never owned a physical copy. I’ve purchased it digitally several times through the years, but never had a piece of the game to hold in my hands–until now.

I love having a 12”x12” version of the cover art to prop up on my “Now Playing” shelf.

I watched a documentary that featured Dusty Springfield once and it really turned me on to her melodies. When I spotted this album in the bargain bin, I figured it was an excellent opportunity to diversify my collection some more.

I can still picture my dad looking like a buffoon singing Creedence around the house. One day my son will be able to say that exact sentence and I have no shame about it.

I prefer “Kissing To Be Clever” overall, but this album has “Karma Chameleon” and was under $10, therefore, I own it now.

I picked up this gem for $1 on my first Record Store Day.

I enjoy record collecting because each 12” slab of wax has a history.

This live performance of the seminal 2000’s hipster album about heartbreak, Such Great Heights, found a way to hit harder for me 20 years after the original release.

The man who bought this album was a different person than the man writing about it today.

I used to own a picture disc version of this release. I was ok not having it, but it showed up deeply discounted so I picked up this version. I like the colored LPs more than a picture disc and this is a really good mix, so I’m happy.
