With HE fire from the Panzer and mortar, along with a sustained fire MG34 pouring more misery on the Royal Irish Fusilier positions, as a flank attack crashed home the situation became untenable, and their Force Morale began collapsed giving victory to the Germans. #spreadthelard

Despite coming under fire from two sides and concentrated Bren fire driving the Panzer back. The British failed to inflict enough damage on the German units in their spirted defence. With teams being wiped out their Force Morale began to fall.

As the Germans pushed forward, a preregistered bombardment on the crossroads causing two German Zugs to be pinned. Despite this they maintained pressure on the defensive positions killing the British Senior Leader. At this the Royal Irish Fusiliers decided to withdraw to the next Map.

The British kept their power dry and waited for the Germans to offer a flank. They opened up hitting the Panzer II but failing to penetrate until the 3rd shot. This gave the Germans the opportunity to respond in kind a return fire, resulting in in the death of the gunners’ J/L…

On checking the what I assume is an AI generated list I can confirm the Austrian 1809 list consisted of German Fusiliers x4, German Grenadiers, Grenzers x2 Jägers x2 and some Hussars.
