I started work on a large mainframe Burroughs computer in the mid 70’s housed in a separate building. When I retired around 10 yrs ago, the Burroughs machine has morphed into a laptop with memory, power. and cost that people thought was impossible 40 yrs ago.

Dial-up? Hell,I’m so old I remember sitting at a keypunch machine punching and verifying a box load of cards to be fed to the mainframe computer for my one run per day if I was lucky.
