Feeling great, & the motivation is continuing into Aug which is busy on the life side of things, but I'm confident I'll keep my reading, writing, editing & "videoing" on track.

Might have to add a stitch counter since the crochet bug has caught again! Look at this guy!

I thought it might be fun to track my video creation time spent. Almost everything on there is AWwW related, save for finishing Wanderstop for Chickadee content. It's cool seeing just how much time goes into the editing portion.

Editing hours: 90
Words written: 18 403 words
Creative words though... zero.

I was focussed on outlining bc I'm starting 3 WIPs; nothing could possibly go wrong...

(I encourage you to guess what my acronyms in words written are! lol)

July Recap!

Had some great 🇨🇦reads with The Troop, Nostalgia and 4 short stories from Wilderness Tips. Check out my July Recap/ Aug TBR for more.

Only one day where I didn't read! and 925 is the most pages I've read in a month so far this year!

It's hard to edit your own work, but you gotta do it anyway!

Did you have a catalyst moment that made you start writing?

I definitely had one for going to school, but overall, I kinda just... started writing.

I had every intention of taking more pics and video to share, but I ended up just enjoying myself, socializing with co-authors and guests, and of course co-emceeing!

I have a recording of the presentation portion, but before I share clips I need to double check that everyone is okay with it!

It happened! We launched the book! I have a physical copy of a book I am an author of! It’s very cool.

A huge thanks to The Jolly Taxpayer for hosting us. They did a phenomenal job; they were very helpful and accommodating to our large, loud and active group.

Less than a week out from our book launch! 📚

Join us at The Jolly Taxpayer between 12 and 2pm on June 19th!

Enjoy readings and refreshments while meeting the students responsible for this year's anthology By the Fire: Shattered Reflections.

Who doesn't love a good writing prompt!?

A serene moment is about to be changed forever, will you take inspiration from the photos or run away with just the text?

I'd love to know what you come up with!

We managed to keep warm in the cold and wet weather with a few warm dinners in the campfire cauldron.

We did all decide to leave a day early with no temperature reprieve on the horizon. Still all in all a wonderful time spent in nature and with family. I look forward to next year's May 2-4 trip!

But the majority of my reading was done once the rain hit. With my sleeping bag pulled up over my head and comfy clothes head to toe, I began "Confessions of an Igloo Dweller" by James Houston. (I'm a little over halfway done now, and I'm quite enjoying it!)

The afternoon was spent relaxing, and you better bet I got a little writing done. There are a few stories rolling around in my head inspired by our trip actually! And of course some reading...

Out first full day we managed to get two trails in (while the weather stayed nice, this is foreshadowing 😛) The Lookout Trail was gorgeous and just the right amount of challenging. The Spruce Bog Boardwalk provided an easier walk, and the pamphlet taught us a lot about bogs! Very cool stuff.

Our yearly family camping trip was... exciting this year.
We, of course, stopped for coffee on the way up. We didn't so Timmie's (I know, sacrilege! We did get Tim's on the way home, so don't be too mad) because we found Ottawa Valley Coffee in Renfrew which has gluten free treats available!

I'm on YouTube!

I did a bit of an introduction to me and the channel by answering the newbie questions for BookTube, AuthorTube and EditorTube (okay, I made those ones up... does EditorTube exist? Come find me!)

visuals continued :)

Together we walk from bed to bed
Under bright springtime sun
Listening through the murmur of the crowd
Inspired to stop. Wait. Watch.
Pretending, if only for a moment, that everything is perfectly fine.

Date Night Recap: Mill Street Brew Pub for dinner, walked around a bit, then attended @writersfest.bsky.social Long Story Short feat. Catherine Bath, Bill Gaston and Andre Alexis. I hope to attend more like it soon!

What upcoming writing or editing events are you looking forward to this summer?

It’s that time of month again; time for a StoryGraph reading recap! 📚

While I read every day last month, and not this month, I’m still happy with how much reading I got done. I do want to get my variety back, but this series has been a great time.

I have many people to thank for getting to this point in my life & career. Being pushed to attend school by friends & family and the mentors & peers I found there, have made a huge, positive impact. I’m excited to continue growing while watching and helping others grow around me.
