I saw them at MSG in '72--it was the night Bianca rolled out Mick's birthday cake--but I don't remember those jackets. Of course, I couldn't have afforded one anyway (I think the ticket cost something like $8.50 ... my friend's girlfriend won the lottery).

And it's obvious he doesn't know how many people have died, or how young or old they were, or much of anything about the outbreak. He might have some dim awareness of it, but hasn't given it a half-second's thought. He's indeed in full bullshitter mode, because that's his default.

They are in an increasingly siloed bubble and they really only talk to each other. It's like how pre-Moneyball scouts would develop draft consensus based on the handsomeness of a guy at one tryout 20% of them went to. Suddenly 80% of them had the same draft grade. They are confident and delusional.
