Mainly Grateful Dead related, and you would be surprised how much is! May post about music, entertainment, interesting events and trivia. Keeping things positive, please do the same! Be kind!
You may know the NFA->GDTRFB->NFA from skull and roses. Same set of shows, which are awesome, but different night. This is a bit different but just as good. Plus they go into Lovelight afterwards. A great prices in the band’s history

Beautiful version of So Many Roads. Jerry very impassioned and mournful. Give it a listen and let me know what u think

If you’re a Truckin fan (and there’s nothing wrong with that!) then take a listen to this. Jerry clearly enjoying himself.

A real nice version. Augusta Maine!

This show deserves to be in the conversation for best Grateful Dead shows. Another 1977 but not part of the famed spring tour that included Cornell

This is a rippin version. Also, I highly recommend this show. On par with Cornell and other spring tour 1977 shows

Anybody know this song? An early fun version of what became a regular encore song!

In case you’ve never heard this Scarlett Fire it’s fantastic. Not big on comparing things but could be better than Cornell *gasp*

If you don’t know of WMVY, maybe you should. Community owned radio on Martha’s Vineyard that plays an eclectic mix of quality music. They are over the air and also stream, as you can see I listen to them through Sonos. And they have a Grateful Dead show.

Also, Three More days has a good jam!

Forgot how good this is. The whole sequence really.

Want to hear the boys having fun? Jerry messing with Bobby during a verse causing Bobby to bust out laughing as he sings. He keeps singing like the pro he is…

And this one by Alabama Shakes Brittany Howard is such a talent, if you don’t know her look her up!

I admit I don’t like to dance and rarely do so. But this song by JJ Grey and Mofro- if it doesn’t make u want to shake your bones you have no pulse! Funky, gritty sweaty jook joint music. JJ Grey knows how to create a dance groove

Want an excellent Bordeaux blend at a reasonable price? From St Emillion, this wine is a blend of merlot and cab franc, making it smooth and very drinkable. The Chateau is owned by Denise Adams, who also owns Adamvs, an excellent winery in Napa Valley. And she is the nicest person ever!

53years ago today the Grateful Dead played this place. A student cafeteria at Aarhus University in Denmark. People were literally sitting on the shelf you slide your trays along. Part of the Europe 1972 and a great show!

Want a really funk Shakedown Street? Brent had been in the band for less than a year but he’s all over this one!

Grateful Dead doing the Bob Dylan song knocking on heavens door with Branford Marsalis sitting in. So soulful.

If you haven’t heard this do yourself a favor, take 11:19 and listen. Jerry killing Dylan’s tune.

Grateful Dead this day in 1970 with the Buffalo Philharmonic. One of the few pictures I’ve seen. I don’t believe there are any known recordings. If you know of one please let me know!

Happy 85th birthday to Phil Lesh. In front of the wall of sound in 1974. And look at that bass!
