Every now and again, I pinch myself because of moments like this ✨ To be featured in an award winning children's book by the incredible writer and illustrator Emma Reynolds. Beyond grateful to be part of Amara and the Bats — a book that says, "With a bit of bravery you can change everything."

In the past century Ethiopia lost 90% of its forests.

Since 2019 Ethiopia has planted over 25 billion trees with satellite data showing clear improvements in green cover across many regions.

It’s proof that climate action isnt limited to tech solutions.

The most powerful actions come from people.

As Earth Day celebrations unfold around the country, we remember the importance of community-based organizations providing critical services to us all. Thank you for working towards a world where we can all breathe clean air, drink clean water, and live on clean land.

Trees tackle key challenges:
- they absorb CO2
- produce oxygen
- cool the air
- support biodiversity
- conserve soil
- and improve air quality

Tree Equity (noun): Ensuring all communities, regardless of income or race, have equal access to the benefits of trees.

Achieving #TreeEquity requires planting 500 million trees, protecting urban forests, and securing funding, policies, and jobs to sustain equitable canopies.
