Sometimes it can be so easy😄 I had to actually set the correct color, but otherwise the translucent option did the trick. Thanks!

Hi Kadi! As an experiment I upgraded your example repo to SDK53 and on Android the headers fall behind the status bar (due to the new edge-to-edge default). The SDK53 changelog was a bit unclear on this, can you maybe explain (text/video) on the Expo way to fix them? Or is it a bug in Expo Router? 😅

One pattern I had to make a few times was drawers over tabs with an occasional modal that also overlaps the tabs.
