A comment from Spain, where fascism is deeply entrenched: I suppose everyone in Ireland realises that these two events are two sides of the same thing #aras #dublinriots

Duncan's work is so vast and so important everyone will have their own favourite. This is mine.

Two lovely books by @roguestrands.bsky.social English, living and working post-Brexit in Spain, Matthew distils the complexity of his situation in spare, deeply-felt, attractive poems. Well worth reading.

Thirteen ways of looking at Tsvetaeva
I came across these wonderful versions in an old Poetry Review (Autumn 1993) published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Tsvetaeva's birth. @poetrysociety.bsky.social

I have never known where to start with Cortázar, but this article in @madridlitmag.bsky.social by @roguestrands.bsky.social has encouraged me to try his poetry.

Famously, the neighbourhoid figured in ¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?
The Almodóvar film wonderfully captures the feel of that area in the eighties.

A wonderful new issue of @madridlitmag.bsky.social is now available. I am very grateful to the editors for including a poem of mine.

Your moving text and the Sander photo remind me of a poem of mine, about a photo, men in suits (though not young farmers), winter and a fallow period for creativity.
I wrote it to acknowledge my own failure to do something with a character who'd been in my head for years but wouldn't gel.

This little book came about thanks to @markantonyowen.com accepting some poems for @iambapoet.com. These were noticed by my editor at Southword.
My gratitude to Mark for his selfless work with me and so many other poets.

Just read: Ayşegül Savaş's The Anthropologists
It catches really well the feel of a daily life lived far from one's native surroundings and culture, and the very specific anxieties of distance from family. Very much identified with it.
