fighter also has the worst stalling, as it has to hold block instead of evading around and putting in damage with ranged attacks. additionally too many enemies can "block-lock" you which is especially common with the Maws in Crescent Grove

i dont know about any sort of metas that have developed. the most effective strategy to me seems to be stalling until your stun is up > stunning the enemies and fitting as much damage on them as you can in that duration. fighter has the worst stun which is why it feels weak to me.
