Agreed on most of your points, however it is still very much a soulsborne. You rest which respawns all low level enemies. There’s 1 difficulty. You dodge, attack, dodge again, except it has parry which is somewhat similar to Sekiro but timed differently. So there is quite a bit “borrowed”

One of the endings of the original SCP Containment Breach does it best. Throughout the gameplay you find clues your character was involved in "Gestalt spiral research". It can be assumed this directly led to your character gaining the ability to respawn. The ending expands upon this ability.

As with any novel, it is on the absolute backburner behind everything else in my life. But I'd say it's coming along nicely :) it's a sci fi story!
