More in the FF x MTG collection are sloppily made so I still suspect ai usage, but MTG was caught earlier last year using ai-gen in their promotional material, but later blamed a third party contractor~ These are the things that happened :shrug: disappointing, I wanted to support it since IL FF

It's clear the original ai generated art was probably concept art, and it was given to the next artist to create a real piece based off of it (the pose, it even includes the background elements that were missing in the OG per my criticism). And you can't find the original ai-generated one anymore.

They won't admit it if they can get away with it. Back last october I noticed their initial promotional art of the ff x mtg collaboration was ai generated, made a thread about it, it hit a sore spot for them, and in June of this year, they replaced that art with an actual artist made one. +
