This book is coming out in November and I'm super proud of it.

Some of the best character work I've ever done, a ripping plot (once it builds up momentum), and a grab bag of my various ideas and obsessions.

Magical bird familiars. Overlapping, conflicting magic systems. Lotsa weird little guys.

I've been really enjoying this ARC so far. Beautiful, poetic prose. A deeply screwed up fantasy apocalypse. Not super plot heavy so far (160 pages in) but with great characters and a rich world.

Keep an eye out for it!
