There’s been at least one City Football Group-related person involved in Ange’s moves from Yokohama to Celtic to Spurs. This is part of the problem. Clubs want to know the manager or know someone who knows him. Which is why it took Ange 21 years longer to end up in the same league as David Moyes.

After the Socceroos qualified for the 2018 World Cup he was finally offered a job outside Australia, coaching the City Football Group’s Yokohama F Marinos in Japan.
