It amazes me, for how intelligent our species is, that our #1 motivator is either fear or hatred. It makes sense biologically, but you would think we would be past that now, realizing that it only brings out the worst in ourselves and our decision-making.

Hillary won the pop vote, and Obama got elected. The people that would not vote for her because "its a black woman" surely do exist, but they are already on the far right and would vote for a conservative irrespective of who is running as the Dem candidate

YES, the potential for the Trump admin to manufacture crimes for the j6 committee (and others) is a warranted concern. Either that, or legal harassment with the intent to harm reputations, and/or cause financial burden. It's justified based on Trumps' campaign, as well as Patels' stated intentions
