Front street was blocked by police. AT 5:30pm during the Lahaina evacuation. WHILE motorists were fleeing into the water, 1 mile away on the same street.

A week ago I filed a records request with Maui Co. Unless they fail to comply, Maui co will be releasing dispatch logs for Aug 8 soon.
PD road closures persisted during the peak of the self evacuation 3-6PM.
Maui co has not answered if the Emergency Op Center actived 3-6PM.

A week ago I filed a records request with Maui Co. Unless they fail to comply, Maui co will be releasing dispatch logs for Aug 8 soon.
