To be fair, I saw Bloc Party live at ACL Festival in the early 2000s in support of SILENT ALARM before I’d heard anything about them, and they were a revelation as a live act, so my impression might be colored by getting smacked in the face in that way.

I now have to listen to “Like Eating Glass” right now, so I think that’s another vote for Silent Alarm, even if you’re right on the merits.

But, still, a 12-hour delay is a little rough

October 17 is the last full moon before the election. This is a CRITICAL fundraising deadline for reaching werewolves, an important demographic in our coalition.

My take is that the person you're talking about wants the same outcome you and I do, but his model has an overcorrection for a convention bounce that didn't happen because she already *had* a convention bounce for locking up the nomination just before the DNC. (I might be misreading here)

I kinda want the record to show that our valedictorian later won a MacArthur Genius grant, so the competition was pretty stiff.
