Note to self: the more books I read simultaneously the longer it will take to finish any single one.

In other news, my daughter and I are making good progress in getting through the fourteen Oz books by Baum. Still debating whether we read the other twenty-six... 🧐

The little one is stoked about the possibility of another snow day.

Personally, I’m ready for the clear skies and sunshine of spring.

We just discovered a lovely little independent book seller. While I couldn’t find a hard-bound copy of The Republic, I did pick up a great book on survival skills

If you’re ever in the Columbia, MD area, I recommend checking out Queen Takes Book. www.queentakesbook.com

Working on figuring out snacks for tomorrow’s game night to keep people’s dietary needs in mind.

This is incredibly easy if I’m only concerned about other’s needs. For instance, did you know a box of wood screws is both vegan and gluten-free?

But I have to consider my dietary needs, too.

Work. Life. Balance.

The truce has been broken and must be restored.

My daily reminder to myself: put on your mask before you leave the world in your head.

The real holiday is when kids go back to school after New Year’s.

It was a fun concert and a fantastic turnout, and we are proud of all the kids who sang and/or played instruments.

My only regret is that our choice of seats and the arrangement of the kids meant that all I could see of my daughter was the crown of her head and her knees.

I’m taking a break from doom scrolling this evening to enjoy my kid’s winter concert. Priorities, y’all.

My old man rant for the day:

Kids these days don’t know the value of an honest day’s work. Y’all, stop undervaluing yourselves.

You’re more technically literate than any generation before you and have access to all the world’s knowledge; your skills and abilities are worth more than you think.

It’s a lovely day to take time to wait outside of my office for our visitors from San Antonio.

Awww yeah! Time for my daughter to pick out and fall in love with a book that happens to be the first in a six-part series, only to discover books 2-6 aren’t available to buy in the U.S. This forces me to turn to eBay to buy the rest from overseas book sellers, but I do so with gladness. 📚

Seriously, it should NOT have been this difficult to figure out which output pins have which signals. Thirty-seven pins, trying to find four signals and four syncs, with documentation that is clearly wrong.
