CA observes Indigenous Peoples Day but doesn’t give state workers a holiday, so it’s not really a state holiday. But Columbus is not either. Los Angels closes schools and some offices

I’m surprised that MA still celebrates Columbus Day.
Is there any motion in the works to change it to Indigenous peoples day or just not celebrate it?

A crowd was forming and yelling at the cops and we had our kid so we left… anyone know what else happened or have more info? Still in shock, though I didn’t see it happen

Did the officers check on the victim? Leap out to render aid? No. They parked, called in more LAPD, and closed off the street. I didn’t see the person they hit, but I do not think they could have survived. I was keeping my son away from the scene

I can’t tell if he really thinks a difference in trade is some kind of financial deficit they need to pay up, or if this is some kind of doing Putin's bidding to further weaken us and our allies, or just pure “I’m the king now and I said tariff” energy.
