What's your definition of "massive step back?" He literally improved every single statistical category in his per 36 metrics except for FT% where it dropped by .03 and 2P% by .01 ....

That makes a whole lot more sense… my bad.

Keyonte has flaws yes, but you really are pushing it with this “unnecessary gamble” spiel…

But in Utah we do have a UHC

Yeah, this is kind of my feeling too. I know that not trading Collins, Sexton, and Clarkson is a risk but I don't like to see our guys get uprooted just because the front office would take anything offered.
February 6, 2025 at 9:02 PM
While a loss would be ideal, wins like this are also pretty crucial for our young guys. Winning in large part because they played very well and seeing them really pull it out is needed for their development IMO.
February 6, 2025 at 5:12 AM
He and Collier play really well off of each other. He's definitely done well in a 6 man role recently but ultimately I really think he'll develop into a great starting 2 guard.
February 6, 2025 at 4:57 AM
Yeah, everyone likes to compare him to his brother but Jalen was still in college at this point and didn't really start doing much until he was 22. Cody's got atleast 3 years to get to that point.
February 6, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Yeah, I would definitely understand if they do this. I just hope we don't trade him for a 2nd and take what ever. If its a second or nothing, I'd rather get nothing and be loyal to him. He's earned it IMO.
February 6, 2025 at 4:22 AM
I think a large part of it is his physique. Its hard to be confident when you can't match up physically with the other guys on the court.
February 6, 2025 at 4:15 AM
It will be awhile before we see Williams really show much in my opinion. He's a 2-3 year project guy (didn't stop me from buying his new statement jersey.) Hendricks was showing some good signs before the injury so I feel good about his development right now.
February 6, 2025 at 4:11 AM
Exactly. Also, I may be in the minority here but I'd love to keep Collins around if we can. I think he opts out for a new contract, but him mentoring Flagg or Bailey would be real big.
February 6, 2025 at 4:05 AM
Yeah, I feel the same way. If its not a significant overpay I'm not interested in trading Kessler. He fits what we are trying to do perfectly and our timeline. You don't trade your young guys when trying to rebuild unless someone makes you look stupid for saying no.
February 6, 2025 at 4:03 AM
Yet somehow Lakers fans will try to convince you that we should have traded him for JHS, Gabe Vincent, and a heavily protected 2031 first.
February 6, 2025 at 3:59 AM
If you don't think what Ainge has been doing is impressive*
February 6, 2025 at 3:48 AM
I can understand if you are frustrated about the decision to tank. But if you think Minnesota looks like a contender and you don't think what Ainge has been doing this trade deadline then you just don't understand basketball...
February 6, 2025 at 3:47 AM
because there's a dozen other teams out there that would happily take two free 2nds to take on JHS who's contract is only guaranteed through the rest of this season. He can be released after this year.

Trades happening no matter what, might as well get the free picks out of it.
February 2, 2025 at 7:09 AM
The two seconds may not be worth the loss in value but there’s no way this trade doesn’t happen. If Utah doesn’t help facilitate it some other team that is selling would gladly take two free 2nds and JHS.. so you take it regardless.
February 2, 2025 at 7:07 AM
He is this years Fontecchio and hopefully we are able to flip him before the trade deadline for a future 2nd
January 26, 2025 at 4:34 AM
The biggest difference is that it’s the worst Utahs picks, which this year will be 29/30th 2027, worst of Utah, Minnesota, Cleveland, and Lakers picks and same for 2029, minus Lakers. Its a lot less likely all of those teams will be bad. A lot harder to have all those teams fail instead of just 1.
January 22, 2025 at 9:25 PM
LOL… now I just know you’re a hater. If you want to argue whether he’s going to be a starter or a 6th coming of the bench I could atleast respect the argument but that statement is WILD… but I guess you got to take that stance if you want the original statement to be true so… you do you
January 22, 2025 at 4:27 AM
Not sure where it states that the only non worthless players are ones that are #1’s on a championship team….

Fact is he’s turning into a solid player from one of those picks and we still have a bunch more…
January 22, 2025 at 3:39 AM
We already got Keyonte from one of those “worthless” picks and it’s very possible we get another lottery pick this year from those “worthless” picks….
