Lovely piece of writing. As someone who has written a lot personally in my various phases of sobriety about my own journey, I was intrigued to see you reference Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde as I often have. It’s no surprise that the novel was written on a bit of coke binge. Perfect metaphor.

I find the commoditisation of art a very difficult concept. I admire artists who see art as the last untouched practise that exists for the sake of itself. But the capital interest around some art and how easily it is exploited by artists and galleries alike - a difficult pill to swallow.
