I may be one of the signatories on the report’s foreword, but it’s Shoreham Port that is doing this wonderful work on decarbonisation. A trust port working with partners in innovative ways to give us a sustainable future. www.shoreham-port.co.uk/need-to-know...

The need for the public to have a say on local government devolution (we agree), the uncompleted flood wall and the upcoming tree festival were among issues raised with Labour councillors at this morning’s sunny Shoreham Farmers’ market. Good conversations on local issues. See you at the next market

Proposals will come for a Sussex Mayor and reorganised councils. No decisions have been made yet, and it is crucial that the views of local people are heard and shape future proposals. More here www.ewslabour.org.uk/2025/01/23/c...

It’s Christmas tree festival time at St Mary de Haura church, Shoreham. Always a great celebration of community and creativity as local groups put their unique trees on display. Visit and enjoy!

At Shoreham’s wonderful Ropetackle Centre last night we heard how it is staging more events every year - 354 in 2024 - but the support of friends and patrons is vital in keeping it alive. Tom Rutland MP spoke at the meeting, supporting culture and a great venue.

More inconvenience for residents in Victoria Road, Shoreham, as the sewer under the street breaks for the third time this year. Inconvenience too for the Ropetackle as tankers line up to remove sewage. On and on it goes. All a result of Southern Water’s failure to invest in our infrastructure.

Support your local shops! Local independent traders are what make local shopping areas special in Adur and across our communities. Here, Shoreham shops are getting the message across.
