Interesting things happening at Letaba. Heading back from fieldwork led by University of Pretoria on 1st millennium settlement in Kruger national park. Had a role in revealing this large vessel from a midden that included fragments of Sassanid pottery 🤯🏺

Found this guy in my kitchen (safely remove outside):- 𝘔𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘴𝘢 cf 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴. A lot of these long horned beetles are considered pests because their larvae eat plant tissue.
