He/him. FKA Jeremy Keller. Author of Chronica Feudalis and Technoir.
I like how in programming IDEs, I can right-click a variable, select refactor/rename-symbol, and instantly change that variable's name across the whole project. My kingdom for #writing / #screenwriting software that could do the same for character names, place names, and other proper nouns.

Haven't touched my political superhero feature screenplay since the election. It was a cathartic outlet for me. But now... eesh. I don't know. #scriptsky

If you're #writing a story with multiple POVs, how careful are you about tracking the progress of time? If weeks go by in one character's POV, have those same weeks gone by when you cut to the next character?

Free idea for streaming networks: I know you like releasing episodes weekly to generate more discourse, but consider this... 3 episodes a week!

Actually, it’s not a sparkling monster because the real Frankenstein region of Switzerland was the friends we made along the way.

When reading or watching a murder mystery, are you more likely to figure out who dun it by the clues revealed within the story or by interrogating an imagined version of the story’s writer in your head?

Do you think it works if a POV main character’s motivation isn’t fully revealed until just before the final confrontation where they act on it? Or is it necessary to know their true motivation early so you can ride the rollercoaster with them?

With screenwriting, I enjoy the efficiency of language. A spark of imagery, then trust the reader’s imagination to fill in the rest. I often remind myself that I can do that in prose as well. The more I describe the castle, the more I’m writing over what the reader had in mind when I said “castle.”

I first started writing screenplays in the 90s. I wrote 3 features and then moved out to Los Angeles. Didn’t work out. I quickly fell out of love with what I had written. It was all action genre stuff. It felt juvenile. I wanted to write something more serious, but I struggled to do so. #scriptsky

I used to dread writing, except for when I was particularly inspired. Mostly I loved having had written. Now I find joy in the process. But that might be because I’m only writing what I want to now.

One thing that is working for my writing is to have multiple projects going at once. I have a hyperfocus → burnout cycle. Once I feel that I’m hitting the burnout stage, I can switch back to another project I have in progress (having had some time away from it helps) or start a new one.

For about a year now I’ve been writing again. Spec pilot and feature screenplays. Chapters of a fantasy novel (or maybe novella). A lot of outlines and worldbuilding documents.

Started an implementation for interactions with the environment for my realtime tactical heist game.

Had to push through some weird quirks with Blender vs Godot axis orientation and less documentation than I would like for C#, but I got a character walking around in Godot using root motion and their navigation mesh system.

Every time Unity does some bullshit, I take a look at Godot again and then get depressed. With this latest business, I’ve finally downloaded it and tried it out. Y’all the Blender 3+ > Godot 4 workflow is inspiring!

After two years of development, today was the first time I feel like I got to play, not just test, my space trading game, Trinary: Navigator.

I wanted to focus on the most fun aspect of flying around a three-star system in a space hauler: logistics. #gamedev #indiegame #madewithunity

Not sure how long it was down, but I finally fixed some php on chronicafeudalis.com. You should now be able to download character sheets and other resources again.

It’s been a while, so let me reintroduce myself. I used to be known as Jeremy Keller. Under that name I created TTRPGs (Chronica Feudalis and Technoir) and worked freelance on games (Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, Fate Core, and others) from around 2009 to 2013ish.
