This will never happen. Even he he actually makes an effort to pay, R’s in Congress will stop it and he’ll blame Democrats

It’s not hard. Dear Leader says the shutdown is because of Democrats, and that D’s are taking the blame. This is obviously a lie, but since DL said it every bootlicker down the line must pretend it’s true. So, they inflict pain as if the other side will get blamed.

It’s a mistake to presume that everyone means opposing the current regime by this answer. Lots of R’s thought, and probably still think, that the thing they want is democracy. They don’t actually know that they’re authoritarians.
